CRETE

Everything in this island is huge. Starting with the courage of its people, all of them modern heroes of free Greece. Crete was invaded so often and for so long, from every possible side,

it became a cultural salad. Marks of history are everywhere, even on people's features.

The largest Greek island has amazing scenery of lushing nature and some of the best food products in the country. The main cities and historic attractions are on the North coast,

but treasure villages and wineries hide in the middle, and fantastic beaches are found down South. If you are into hiking, can't miss Samaria's gorge, the longest in Europe.

Crete is one of those places you always go back to and find new things to see and do.
