The West line of Pelion is a series of green cliffs meeting the ocean, interspaced with scenic beaches and small ports, in one of the best shores in Greece. Horefto was a busy harbor during Zagora’s golden years of trading and export business. Now it is a peaceful coastal village, 8 km down from Zagora, a nice sandy resort with a few houses, restaurants, bars and cafes. Its tranquility inspired George Drosinis to write his Serenity poems.
Its position, halfway between the mountain towns and the sea points,
makes it the perfect base to explore the peninsula in the warmer months.
