DAMOUHARI

This cozy little village with the only natural harbor at the Aegean coast of Pelion became worldwide famous for the movie Mamma Mia!, shot there in 2008 (www.damouchari.info). Villagers performed as extras, and references to the film and pictures of the making off are displayed everywhere.

The settlement played an important role in the past,

until most inhabitants moved up to Mouressi and Tsagarada for protection.

Welcoming locals are please to show visitors around

and offer them the best of tiny places like this, away from the beaten path

and still keeping the Greek basic atmosphere, despite the inevitable fame.
